Yes, for properly equipped vehicles, a MySubaru Security subscription is required for you to remote-start your vehicle, remotely lock or unlock the doors, activate the horn and lights, locate your vehicle, and enjoy many more convenient features, all from the MySubaru mobile app.
With the MySubaru Security plan, your vehicle can be located and recovered with assistance from law enforcement. The Stolen Vehicle Recovery with Vehicle Immobilizer feature can also prevent the car from being restarted.
MySubaru Concierge includes all the trusted features of MySubaru Safety and MySubaru Security and takes your experience to the next level by providing direct access to a live MySubaru Customer Care Agent right from your vehicle. MySubaru Concierge offers personalized support for a wide range of needs. You can ask the agent to help you search for points of interest and send directions straight to your vehicle’s navigation system, make restaurant reservations, schedule Subaru service appointments, answer general vehicle questions, and much more.
Yes. Subaru offers a three-year free trial of MySubaru Safety and a six-month free trial of MySubaru Security with the purchase of a new Subaru vehicle. You can enroll in the trial with the retailer at the time of purchase or within the “Manage Subscriptions” page in your MySubaru mobile app.

The MySubaru mobile app is the primary tool for accessing and managing your MySubaru account. With the app, you can use remote services (i.e., Lock/Unlock, Vehicle Locate, Engine Start), view vehicle health information, manage Subaru Guardian Alerts, schedule service with a Subaru retailer, and much more — all from your phone. It’s available from both the iOS and Android app stores.
To manage your MySubaru Safety or Security plan, simply log in to your MySubaru account through the MySubaru mobile app, available for download from both iOS and Android stores.
