The Subaru of America Foundation (the Foundation) funds 501(c)3 organizations, projects, and programs that increase employment and invest in environmentally sustainable community infrastructure that impact the life of residents in the city of Camden, New Jersey.

If you submit a request that is not Camden-focused, it will not be reviewed by the Foundation.

While the Foundation does support employee programs, such as Matching Gifts, Memorial Donations, and Scholarships, grants are focused on the employment and environment in Camden.

Because the Foundation funds projects that are closely aligned with the unique needs of the Camden community, the amount differs on a case-by-case basis. We fund a limited number of programs so please consider our area of focus and the impact of expected outcomes when you consider the request amount. We encourage applicants to submit detailed project budgets explaining why the amount requested is appropriate.

To be considered for a grant, your organization must align with our values and cannot fall under any of the following categories: fraternal and labor organizations; government agencies; direct support of churches, religious, or sectarian groups; schools including individual public, private, renaissance, charter, and school districts; social, membership, or other groups that serve the special interests of their constituency; capital campaigns; political organizations, campaigns, or candidates running for public office; organizations and programs that benefit those outside the United States; vehicle donations; current Share the Love or Hometown Charity partners; or organizations that discriminate based on age, gender, race, national origin, ethnicity, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, military status, or political affiliation. Individuals are not eligible to apply.

We take a very intentional approach when reviewing applications to ensure each project aligns with our values, application requirements, and the needs of the Camden community. The application process is highly competitive and could take up to 6 months to complete. We regret that we are unable to reply to all feedback requests for grant applications.

We do not have scholarships open for application. Through the Foundation, we have a scholarship program for children of Subaru of America employees and we have granted scholarships through the Camden City School District to "Remarkable Graduates" of the senior class. Neither of those scholarships have open applications. The Foundation has a Subaru-U Scholarship for Automotive Excellence at Camden County College School of Automotive Technology.
